Terms of Sale & Use
Last updated 2 October 2026
These terms cover your use of this website and any trading card you buy directly from Bodacious Vault ("we", "us", "our") — a trading card business based in Brisbane, Australia. By using the site or buying a card from us, you agree to them.

What this site is
This site is a catalogue of our trading card collection — cards available to buy, personal collection pieces that aren't for sale, and our sold history. Cards are sold four ways:
- Website checkout — add an Available card to your cart and pay instantly by card, processed securely by Square.
- Directly with us — you get in touch about a card, we confirm it's still available and agree a price, and you pay by PayID or bank transfer.
- Through our eBay stores — those sales happen under eBay's terms and eBay's own buyer protection, not these ones.
- In person — at card shows and meets, where you can inspect the card before you buy.
How a sale is made
A card shown on this site is an invitation to enquire, not a binding offer to sell. A sale is only formed once we've confirmed the card is still available, agreed the price with you in writing, and your payment has cleared into our account.
We may decline or cancel a sale before dispatch — for example if the card has already sold elsewhere, if a price was listed in error, or if we can't verify the payment. If that happens you get a full refund straight away.
Website checkout is instant — a card is confirmed sold and your payment captured the moment it succeeds. Because every card is one of one, it's possible (though rare) for a card to sell elsewhere in the moments between adding it to your cart and paying. If that happens we don't charge you for it: that item is dropped from your order automatically and, if payment already went through, refunded immediately, while the rest of your order goes ahead as normal.
Paying by card on our website
Card payments made through our website checkout are processed by Square. Your card number, expiry and CVC are entered directly into Square's own secure payment form and never pass through our servers. We don't charge a card surcharge.
Once payment succeeds, the card(s) in your order come off the market immediately and you'll receive an email receipt with your order and shipping details.
Prices & payment
- All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST where GST applies.
- A tax invoice is available on request.
- Accepted payment methods are card via our website checkout (processed by Square), PayID, bank transfer, and cash in person. Website checkout includes shipping automatically — for other sale types, postage is quoted and charged separately unless we've said otherwise. See our Shipping Policy.
- Cards are not reserved by an enquiry, a request form, or a newsletter signup. The first cleared payment secures the card.
Availability — every card is one of one
Almost everything we sell is a single physical card, and the same card may be listed here, on eBay, and sitting on a table at a card show all at the same time. That means a card can genuinely sell out from under a listing before this page catches up. We update as fast as we can, and if something you've asked about is gone we'll tell you immediately and help you find an alternative.
Promotions
Any promotion, discount, bonus or free gift we run — for example a complimentary Mag Case with a Mag Armor purchase, a daily deal, or a discount code — is offered until further notice and while stocks last. We reserve the right to change, pause or withdraw any or all promotions at any time and without notice. A promotion applies only to orders where it is shown at the time you pay.
How we describe condition
Condition is the thing that matters most in this hobby, so we want to be exact about how we handle it.
The photos are part of the description. Every card is photographed front, back, and under angled light before it's listed, and where it matters we photograph the corners and edges close up too. Those images form part of the description of the card, and cards are sold as pictured. If a flaw is visible in the photos, it's part of what you're buying — and if you'd like more or better photos of anything before you commit, just ask and we'll take them.
Our raw card condition scale
For ungraded ("raw") cards we describe condition using the scale below, assessed by eye and with a jeweller's loupe under natural light, across the four things that matter: corners, edges, surface and centering.
| Grade | Corners | Edges | Surface | Centering |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Gem Mint | Sharp, no whitening even under a loupe | Clean, no chipping | Full gloss, no print lines or scratches | Around 55/45 or better |
| Mint | Sharp, at most one pinpoint touch | Clean, at most one tiny nick | Full gloss, nothing visible at arm's length | Around 60/40 or better |
| Near Mint | Very slight softening on one or two | Very light wear | One minor flaw — a faint print line or light gloss break | Around 65/35 or better |
| Excellent | Light rounding or whitening, visible | Light chipping or wear | Light scratches or some gloss loss | May be noticeably off-centre |
| Good | Clear rounding and whitening | Visible chipping | Scratches, scuffs, possibly a light surface crease | Any |
| Played | Heavy wear | Heavy wear | Creasing, marking or other damage | Any |
Any specific flaw that sits outside the general grade — a crease, a dinged corner, a surface scratch, an off-centre cut — is called out in that card's own description and shown in its photos. We would always rather lose a sale than have a card arrive worse than you expected.
A raw grade is our honest opinion, not a professional grade. It is not a prediction, promise or guarantee of what PSA, BGS, SGC or any other grading company would assign to the same card. Professional graders use different standards, measuring tools and their own judgement, and can detect trimming, recolouring or alteration that we may not.
If you are buying a card specifically to submit it for grading, buy it on the photos and your own assessment — not on our label. We can't refund a card because it came back from a grader lower than you hoped.
Graded & authenticated cards
- Where a card is in a graded slab (PSA, BGS, SGC and so on), the grade is the grading company's assessment, printed on their label. We pass that on; we don't independently guarantee it beyond what's on the slab.
- We provide the certification number for every graded card, and we encourage you to verify it on the grading company's own online lookup before you pay.
- Slab condition is separate from card grade. A slab can be scratched, scuffed or cracked without that affecting the grade inside. We photograph and describe the slab itself and note any damage to it.
- The same applies to autograph authentication — we're passing on the authenticator's certification, not issuing our own.
Authenticity
We only sell cards we believe to be genuine. If a card you bought from us is later shown to be counterfeit, reprinted or altered by a recognised grading or authentication company, we will refund you in full, including all postage in both directions. There is no time limit on this.
Delivery
How we pack, what we post with, tracking, insurance and timeframes are all set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law. Our cards come with guarantees that cannot be excluded — including that they will match their description and be of acceptable quality.
If a card has a major problem, you are entitled to choose a refund or a replacement, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss. If the problem is minor, we're entitled to put it right within a reasonable time; if we can't, you can choose a refund. Full detail is in our Returns & Refunds Policy.
Community accounts, reviews & card requests
- Card requests and the newsletter are non-binding — submitting one doesn't guarantee we have or can find the card, and doesn't reserve anything for you.
- Community accounts let you showcase your own collection, react to cards and leave reviews. You're responsible for what you post; it should be accurate, your own content, and yours to share.
- We may remove content that's abusive, spam, misleading or clearly false, and may suspend accounts that misuse the site.
- Reviews should reflect a real experience with us. We don't edit reviews to change their meaning, and we don't remove a review just because it's negative.
Content & ownership
Card photos, written descriptions and the design of this site are ours unless otherwise noted, and shouldn't be reused commercially without our permission. Cards, club and league names, logos and player likenesses shown here belong to their respective leagues, manufacturers and rights holders — we're cataloguing our own collection, not claiming ownership of those marks.
What we're not responsible for
To the extent permitted by law, and without limiting your Australian Consumer Law rights above:
- We don't guarantee that this site will always be available, or that every price, condition note or availability flag is current at the moment you read it.
- We give no advice on, and accept no responsibility for, the future value of any card. Card values move, and a card is worth what someone will pay for it on the day.
- We're not responsible for content posted by other users in Community showcases, reviews or comments.
- Where our liability can be limited by law, it's limited to replacing the card or refunding what you paid for it.
Buying through eBay or in person
Cards bought through our eBay stores are governed by eBay's terms and covered by eBay's own money-back guarantee — returns and disputes for those sales go through eBay, not through this policy.
Cards bought in person at a show or meet are sold having been inspected by you at the time. Your Australian Consumer Law rights still apply in full, but our goodwill change-of-mind window doesn't — see the Returns Policy.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the business changes. The version that applies to your purchase is the one published on the day you bought. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the current version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you and we submit to the courts of that state.
